Party banter disappeared with patch 3

I have played for about 5 hours in my first playthrought and spent the majority of that in the Hinterlands. I have gotten very minimal banters( around 2) in the 3 hours in the hinterlands. Any fix arounds?

For the sake of gathering as much feedback as possible, I decided to share my positive experiences. I do not have any issues with party banter.

My brother was playing earlier in the Hinterlands, and there were two conversations in a very short timespan. Both were conversations between Cassandra and Dorian. This was fairly early game, so they still had loads to talk about.

This is on PC (core i5 4690K, Radeon R9 270X Mantle, 8GB DDR3 1600, ADATA SSD, Windows 7 64-bit). I never had the banter issue in any of the previous builds.

Sacrificed my time today and played 10 hours mostly completing everything i could in hinterlands, I had 4 banters in 10h time and 3 of them played right after i closed the rift + 1 during random fight. But I don't think im going to wait for any fix on tha, too many titles coming in and with my time I will spend probably all february just to complete Inquisition🙂

Performed a a clean installation of Inquisition, but still no Banter while playing. Music does play whenever I enter a new area though.

It's been more then 10 days now. When is this getting fixed? 

• What Platform are you playing the game on? If PC, can you provide a DxDiag?

Playing on PC.

• What areas have you been in when the problem was reported? Have you already entered the Hinterlands? Are you mostly spending time on Critical Path plots?

In current game, the only one I played after installing patch 3, I finished Hinterlands, got to Skyhold and currently exploring Storm Coast.

• What is the the Race/Class/Gender combination of your Inquisitor?

Elfe/rogue archer/female.

• What followers are you using at the time?

For now on it's Solas/Dorian/Iron Bull. Before Dorian was switched by Cassandra.

• How would you describe your play-style? How are you moving around in areas? For example, are you using the mount? Are you playing a mage and using Blink to move around areas?

Making all area visible, visiting every place and collecting all stuffs I can in there. I'm not using mount, nor any abilities to travel.

• Are you engaging in regular combat? (Are you in combat every 30 seconds?) Are you playing in heavy-combat zones where non-player factions are fighting each other?

Regular combat when I have enemies on my way (of course), but I'm not really running after them. I'd say I'm in combat every 2-4 minutes. The areas weren't really heavy-combat zones.

• How many hours have you spent in your current playthrough? (the one you are experiencing the banter issues in)

About 16-17 hours.

• Where do you expect banter to be firing?

I had maybe two banters in Hinterlands, later on - nothing at all. One or two enviromental comments from companions, last banter I heard was probably some 8 hours ago.

Sorry for my english since I'm not native and I hope works on fixing it will go fine... It cuts off a great part of game.

Banter is not supposed to fire in skyhold, your party doesnt follow you around so how would you hear them?

He probably means that only after getting acess to Skyhold the party banter stopped. I noticed the same thing recently, but it was with a Save game I created before patch 3.

In my first 80 hours playthrough (before Patch 3) I had party banter all the time (about every 10  minutes) and in any place. I don't care about changing party members, I stick with the same group in all the quests. All was fine. Then I started a second playthrough with other party members. I did most quests you can do before you close the rift in Haven. This is the Hinterlands, Storm Coast, the Fallow Mire and Forbidden Oasis. And again party banter all the time about every 10 minutes for 40 hours time of playing. But ... since ... Patch 3 ... all of the sudden I had only one party banter for 2+ hours. 

Same, PS4, Elf, Dual Wield, every combo of party members. tried to repeat trigger moments, the patch seemingly has wound up breaking something that for some of us didn't need fixing.

Hi folks, I may have found a fix after trawling through the internet.  It was an old fix before the patch but seems to have worked for me!

Try going to the war table and fast travel from there.  I went to the Hinterlands and managed to get some banter after about 5 or so minutes of wandering around after battle.
