Patch for Dorian Bug?

Mother Giselle only appears after you talk to Dorian. If there's a cutscene with Dorian writing a letter, then immediately after, Giselle pops up in the throne room.
In one of my playthroughs, Dorian's mission only came up after the ball, so that was quite late. Normally when you side with the mages, though, it should trigger much sooner because you've had more time to build up approval. I have read that the bug can happen when your approval is too high before going to Skyhold.
It's a commonly reported bug and two patches are on the way. I doubt it will be very soon, though. I've read BioWare's offices are closed until the 5th, and then they'll need some time to prepare the patch.
