Prior to today's patch, the hitching was annoying, but the game was playable. Now, the game randomly pauses for about 3 seconds every few seconds. It does this at the title screen, while playing, in conversation, even in menus. When the pause happens, it sounds like the fan on my video card stops or slows down. I tried other games, and none are exhibiting this behavior. The game is not even playable for me, in its current state.

Booted up this morning after a fresh install and the game is running fine again.
Pretty unhappy with EA and the inconvenience it has caused spending alot of my free time trying to get my £60 purchase working as it should again.

Spend the first few days having CTD and no solution. Had to play on lower resolution to solve it.
Now the patch causes stuttering all the time and I can´t play at all. It´s a joke and they don´t do a thing. Not buying EA games anymore.
Soooo it seems to have worked. Game seems to be back to normal after doing a complete uninstall of DAI and Origins and a fresh install from the disk with antivirus off. I have it so it won't update my game. Sad thing is that my save game is no longer compatible so I have lost all my progress pretty much, until it's safe to update in the future. Ah well, wasn't entirely happy being an Elf anyway, time to spend another hour in the character creation :P to anyone who can't play I would suggest doing this. If you're not bothered about having to start a new game that is, which I know most will be. Sad times, but hey I can play this weekend.
When I played on full screen mode, it crashed during cutscenes and when I'm using the war room, and it never crashed during exploration or combat. Now I play in windowed fullscreen mode, and it's the other way around! I'm not sure if this is a GPU or CPU problem, but it's happening way too often for me to enjoy playing.

Hey buddy, you're looking for the CTD threads, not performance threads.
I've tried the reinstalling with firewall and my antivirus off and it didnt work. Added to a long list of things I've tried now and I'm absolutely fed up of it now.
I don't have problems with performance, it's pretty much the same before or after the patch. My problem as I've already posted in a separate thread, is this:

For some unknown reason there's a tremendous CPU load for no reason. It happens in game, it happens obviously on the damn loading screen. I don't have fps drop or fps gain, I just got a HUGE cpu usage for no reason, no performance gain, no performance lost. Why is this happening? The only "benefit" is CPU overheating issues because the game now runs 10-15 degree hotter for no reason whatsoever...

I've been around, alot of people have been complaining about CPU usage, usually going to 100%.
Yea but hey usually have performance issues and I don't. I'm just a bit confused why with the same performance I get such CPU load. My game is running exactly the same as before the patch, but for some reason my CPU usage is stuck on 100%, and before the patch with the same performance I barely hit 50-60% per core load.

I have the same problem with the CPU but I had no reason to check my CPU usage before the patch because it was running great. I played it in the morning on the day of the patch release and I had no problems with the performance and freezing. Then I went out, got back and patched it and all of a sudden I'm hit with all this.
I also can play other games without a problem. On high graphics. Without anything like I'm experiencing with Dragon Age at the moment. I can play Skyrim with High settings, Civilisation I've always had a problem on high graphics but that runs great on all settings Medium. This is with Steam, Origin, Anti-virus, Firewall, Skype, and Google Chrome running in the background...
But Dragon Age Inquisition is like nope nope nope nope nope.
