Prior to today's patch, the hitching was annoying, but the game was playable. Now, the game randomly pauses for about 3 seconds every few seconds. It does this at the title screen, while playing, in conversation, even in menus. When the pause happens, it sounds like the fan on my video card stops or slows down. I tried other games, and none are exhibiting this behavior. The game is not even playable for me, in its current state.
Well I don't know if my situation is unique or common.
My FPS before the patch was 20 FPS (inconsistent, it'll go up to 35 and down to 15 even if I just stare at a wall).
After the patch, my FPS was 18 FPS avg.
Changing settings from Ultra to Low, does nothing to affect FPS. Is this the game's issue? Or something on my end?
Really would not like to spend $400 dollars upgrading my computer to play this game. I'm dedicated but...there's a limit..
I had a really dmooth running game witha wierd freeze that would happen everyonce in a great while but now it is crazy how it just goes. It's still playable but barely have not really played much since the patch tried a few times but some are just so bad it is like a slide show for a few secs adn none of this was happening before the patch.
I had a damn lot of crashes - both the game just deciding the fall onto the desktop and DirectX crashes - before the patch and the "hotfix".
Now I have all those crashes and the game is unplayable because every cutscene is in slowmotion. The dialogue will play at normal speed but the animations are slow. They don't even stutter or hitch, they just move in slowmotion and every little movement and eyeblink takes forever.
I have tried everything to make it work again - both official and unofficial 'fixes' and jumped through so many damn hoops but nothing works. Not even lowering the graphics to a bare minimum - and my computer is statted high enough to be able to run this game on High.
I paid full price for a broken game. Safe to say, I feel rather cheated.
Performance was fine before all these hotfixes.
List of what I've done and performance still hasn't improved:
Full system virus scan,
CCleaner,
Repairing game,
Reinstalling,
Clearing Origin caches,
Clean system reboot (i think its called),
Deleted patch and reinstalled,
Disk cleanup and defragment,
Updated every driver I can find on my PC.
Other games play perfectly but I tried these things regardless and they haven't worked.

Also my GPU usage stays well under 30% and under 40 degrees temperature, while running but my CPU is waaaaaay up around the 100% mark but under 50 degrees temperature
I've been trying all different graphics settings because my original settings were on high/ultra, at the moment they're all on the lowest settings and still have ridiculously low performance.
I tried every possible fix in the book... and nothing works, my game still stutters. Badly. It's perfect without the patch, runs smootly with very rare crashes.
Not only that, but my pc is slowed down too.

A new day and still no word of a fix.
I have seen some posts about possible fixes.... None of them have worked for me.
1. Clearing the Origin caches from the 3 folders - Fail
2. Reinstalling / Repairing the game - Fail
3. Disk cleanup using Windows - Fail
4. CCleaner - Disk/File Cleanup - Fail
5. CCleaner - Registry Cleanup - Fail
6. Virus Scan just because - Fail
7. Upgrade to the Omega Video Drivers that just came out - BIG FAIL
Don't use Omega, it killed my video card and forced to use a Restore point just to fix my computer. Lots of folks having problems
8. Sitting and waiting for a new patch to fix the problem ......................
Seems number 8 is the only thing left to do.
