PC - Cannot "Click to Continue" when the game loads

Game appears to load fine.  I get to the screen where soldiers and priests are marching past and it says "Click to Continue" but none of my mouse clicks register.  Pointer moves, but I cannot advance past that screen.

GTX 970 with the latest driver 344.75

Any ideas?

So to partially answer my own question, in the NVidia control panel I disabled the surround on my 3 monitors.  That allowed me to run the game fullscreen in one monitor, so I can at least play it.

Still not ideal as I need the surround on for a few other games, so I'll have to reset my video configuration before/after each time I play DA:I, but it's enough to get me playing.  Hopefully either a game patch or video driver update will fix it shortly.

I am having the exact same problem as you. Running a KFA2 Nvidia GTX 670 in 3 screen surround mode. The mouse cursor does not even appear when you get to the 'Click Here To Continue' screen. It is clearly being confused by the Surround as like you when I turn surround off it is perfectly fine.

I just recently installed the latest driver with the Dragon Age Inquisition improvements. I think I might try rolling back and see if that does anything. Very annoying this as I see lots of other people who appear to be playing in surround with no issues.

Any thing to try EA peeps?

  • I have this problem as well.

To get around it, I start the game and tab out.  Then wait and tab in right quick to hit "Click to Continue" and quickly tab back out.   Closing the window each time so that the graphic doesn't show on the screen.  I count to about 20 and then tab in and hit continue or play very fast.

My card plays the actual game just fine.  It just really hates the opening sequence.

For those that are suffering with this issue I have managed to work out what is going on and fix the issue. The problem is not with Nvidia Surround its actually an overlay problem with the Origin software.

If you go into Origin and click on Origin > Origin in Game > and de-select Enable Origin in Game it will fix this issue.

The game is now working perfectly for me. Ofocurse I don't have origin on but for me thats not an issue.

    Hope this helps.

  • I turned off Origin in Game and am still having the problem.  Thanks for the suggestion though.
