(PC) Dragon Age Inquisition Launches but closes right after.

So i just got the game of origin access vault, installed it alongside all DLC. But the game wont launch, ive tried to re-install it. i've checked the settings so its set to use my GPU not the intel one. and i've updated my graphics card drivers.
Anyone have anything else i need to try before giving up?

  • @Njorve Have you checked your AV program? Avast and AVG are well known to cause this issue (and may not be the only ones), try adding exceptions for the game, Origin and your save folder, see if that helps (you may need to redo this after any updates to the AV program or Origin). There are other programs which are known to cause issues, particularly programs with overlays. Razer software has also been known to cause issues.

Without more information, that's as much help as I can offer at the moment. If none of that helps, please post a dxdiag, you can find instructions on how to generate and post one in the spoilered section of this sticky

Ok some answer AV is the cause, and what if you don't have an AV ? On win 10 I am using basic stuff that comes with it.
Dragon Age Inquisition opens and closes right after and some thing to ME Andromeda.
EA support (online chat) are tottaly useless.
    Any Ideas ?
  • Have heard even the basic windows defender can sometimes cause issues, so first of try disabling that too.  Most likely you either have a hardware below specs issue, or a cross program interference.  So recommend starting with a DxDiag file posted here, so we can get an idea of what your hardware is, drivers are, and at the bottom of report is often crash files which can sometimes help as well.

Some known cross program interference issues are:

Razor software for mouse and keyboards(I think it is usually the online reporting option but it causes issues)

Teamspeak sharing software.(TS13 seems to be when it starts)

Anti-viruses mostely AVG and Avast, but some others report Windows Defender and a few more.

One Emoji app that linked into chat programs also caused this...

    Some known Hardware issues:

Laptops trying to use Intel video cards instead of main Nvidia or AMD

Someone plugged video cord into wrong slot thus using Intel video.

Hardware just below the min specs.

You may also try a clean boot, thus starting your machine with limited programs and see if the game works, OR you can create another profile on your PC and put Origin and the game on it and see if it works....these both cut out many interference issues and let you know if it is more likely hardware or software issue.

    So information is key...
