I can't see any Realtek Audio drivers installed on your system, despite that the Asus specs for your system list an Realtek Audio device?
Did you tried the windows sonic workaround from the linked thread?

I'm not sure I follow - I do see Realtek drivers in the diagnostic. My ASUS monitor has no audio so I use an external monitor. I have tried using headphones as well as external speakers, all with the windows sonic workaround. The game only loads with audio off in configure. However, trying the windows sonic workaround never resolves the audio issue per the other thread. In Device Manager, I already have the latest drivers for realtek.

Sorry for the late reply, I was out with the flu all week.
There is a "Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller" and a "Realtek 8822CE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC", PCIe WLAN and Network driver, but there is no Realtek Audio device driver and no Realtek Audio listed under "Sound Devices".
