(PC) No scars available in character creator?

When I first started my game and was making my Inquisitor in the character creator, the sliders for scar type, intensity, placement, etc. are all present...but no matter which way I set it, the scars...

    @Elizabeth_QC @HouseOfCrows  I believe in this instance, the scars are handled by the shader setting, not the texture setting. I think it used to be textures when the game was just released (Edit: It was the mesh settings), but they released a patch at some point that added a shader setting, and that's where scars are handled now.

    The shader setting has to be at least 'high'.

Set your graphic option for texure to ultra, only in ultra you can see scar and old skin for npc, and scar for you 🙂

I doubt his hardware can run it on Ultra, unless he has a different machine than posted to run it.

Like Elizabeth QC posted, scars don't show up on lower graphics settings to try and make it easier on your hardware to run it.  Since you are running it on a sub-minimum system by your specs post, then you may simply have to deal with it until you can upgrade.

    Ah, alright. That makes more sense then haha.

    And yeah, as you mentioned my graphics card isn't the greatest so I have to set almost all my graphics settings to low for the game to run smoothly. I might be getting a better graphics card here soon anyway though. My current one is having a lot of issues with crashes and such (interestingly not while I'm playing my game ever, but it's been happening a lot otherwise) so I'm pretty certain I'll have to look into getting it replaced. Hopefully I'll be able replace it and give myself an upgrade. Then I can see about whether or not I can set my game graphics to ultra and hopefully it'll all work out for the best. 🙂

    Thank you kindly for your answers, it's good to know why it's not working, at least.

    (Also, I am able to see other character's scars [Cassandra's and Cullen's, for example], just not any for my Inquisitor...don't know if that's strange or not, given my settings. But either way the fact remains that my Quizzies will have to remain scar-less until I can upgrade. Thanks again). 🙂

    He can run it ultra if he move OTHER setting lower, he only need the texture in ultra,, so he can fix it if he make a manual setting graphic, put other thing on low but texture push it ultra, dont care about shadow and every other thing, just make sure texture are ULTRA

        @Elizabeth_QC @Fred_vdp  Well, as it turns out, my graphics card is having issues but it doesn't need to be replaced. It just needs more of the cooler gel/glue stuff applied since the issue is more about it overheating than anything else. So I'll probably end up playing around with the settings a bit to see if I can get the scars to work, thanks for the extra info! 🙂
