Also I highly suggest NOT updating your Nvidia drivers to the beta version because since I did that my game (which had been running at 30 FPS on high graphics) has started running at 6 FPS.

Out of desperation I turned my graphics to the absolute minimum (because I was in the middle of a battle and 6 FPS makes the game unplayable) and I'm still only getting 30 FPS, while my game looks like someone poured water over it.
Do not update your drivers.

i highlighted it in the release note for the driver.
that means that I might have been correct about teh 344.65 driver
being the most stable, thus far?

i highlighted it in the release note for the driver.that means that I might have been correct about teh 344.65 driver

Lol understood.
But no, since I updated my driver to the beta one I cannot play the game anymore, it's worse now with the game sitting happily at 6 FPS unless the game is on low with 25% resolution and then it only sits at 30 FPS. Something really broke this time.

then I would suggest 344.65, and going through the steps i mention in my original post, and do a clean, custom install, and only install the main driver and physx. uncheck the 3d, audio, and experience. and see if it is more stable for you.

Oh my gosh I could hug you, thank you SO much for all of your help. That (seems to have) fixed it! Back to 30FPS where it's supposed to be. I hesitate to say it's perminent, because honestly this game is so inconsistent it could rival the Canucks. (Hockey joke sorry)
