[PC] Soldier's Keep DLC in Dragon Age Origins not working

The DLC "Soldier's Keep" for Dragon Age: Origins is not working right. I go through the entire thing, only to have either Avernus or Sophia not complete the closing of the Veil. I go through the dialog to get him or her to close the veil, but they walk to the side of the room and stop. There's nothing I can do to get them to the next stage. I can leave the keep and go on about the other quests, but Soldier's Keep does not finish. This puts a crimp in the next two games (2 and Inquisition) because nothing has happened for that stage of the game.

I can play on the console, but there are some things missing on the console that the PC has, and I've grown to like using the PC for this game. For instance, I have more easy access to my spells and/or talents on the PC vs the console. And I like the battle style on the PC - hitting the space bar to pause the action is great. Harder to do that on the console.

This isn't the first time I've this game crashed or not worked right. These problems have only cropped up in the last year or so. It used to work great. Does EA Help monitor these posts? Is there anyone out there who really and truly has the answers to this problem?

    Try to repair the game.

    (Origin: Game Library > Right-click the game cover > Repair)

    (EA app: My Collection > Click on the three dots on the game cover > Repair)
    (Steam: Game Library > Right-click the game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.)

    If that don't helps, you can't change the outcome of Soldier's Keep for DA2 because saves are imported, but for DAI you can set the outcome inside the Dragon age Keep by hand.

    @holger1405 Thanks, but I've already done that. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the EA App. I even bought it on Steam and tried it there - same thing.

    I know about importing the game into DA2, but it sucks that it won't give me the outcome I want. I've also set the outcome in the Keep, but that's not as satisfying as actually playing it. Plus, I can't use the storage chest in the Keep if it's not completed. A whole host of problems, and EA is not doing anything to help.
