[PC] [Steam] Dragon Age Inquisition randomly Not Launching
I know the original post is a few years old but I've run into the same issue. I played the game for over 80 hours without any issues. Until I tried to start the game a few days ago, since then it's a stroke of luck when it actually works but the majority of the time I run into this issue:
When I press play on steam the game "opens up" and I get a loading screen with the little symbol in the bottom right corner. After a few minutes the symbol disappears,
the game doesn't continue the "start up" process from there and seems to be stuck in limbo. The screen stays black until I force quit the game which is the only time the screen changes, I uploaded a picture of what I see when I close the game.
I have tried most of the solutions already, clean the cache, reinstall the game, run as administrator, cleaning up my PC with one of these cleaning tools, reinstalling both EA and steam, verifying the integrity of the files etc and the list goes on. This isn't even everything I tried. My PC and drivers etc are up to date so at this point I am out of ideas.
Sometimes the game just starts without issue other times this issue occurs and it takes me hours to trouble shoot while hoping I get it to work again. and no particular solution seems to make a difference. With the next dragon age game coming out this year I hoped to finish my dragon age inquisition play through before that but it seems more and more unlikely. Does anyone have any idea of how I can fix this?
