Its happening to all my games so I think there server actually is down, Origin works but the games themselves don't authenticate.
Can someone please help me with this

Just got this as well after installing the latest Armor DLC's and Descent... all downloaded fine and now unable to launch the game due to the same above error.. currently investigating =/

So this just happened. I should have the game active, considering I have 249 hours logged. Maybe it's linked to the DLCs I've bought earlier today? Just bought one of the Spoils sets and Descent, left the house as they downloaded and returned to this problem. Apparently it's happened before, but since it's been months since, I'm assuming that this is a new problem with the same symptom and posting as a new question. A fix would be appreciated.

Hi EA_David -- I am certain this is an EA DRM server issue. Can you confirm? This is seeming like a widespread and universal issue for everyone right after downloading Descent and now the game won't launch (presumably because it cannot obtain a license from the EA servers).

I am having the same problem, and have yet to purchase the DLC. Don't feel like putting money on something that wont even let me play it.
