PS3 - Trophy / Platinum Problem

The last trophy I need to platinum this game is "Menacing ("Succeed at 10 difficult intimidate attempts"). I have succeeded in intimidating 11-13 people now more than 4 different times. I have tried ...

Okay, so I finally got this, but I don't think most people would have the luxury of the method that worked for me.
After everything failed on my own PS3, I used my parents PS3 (my PSN account is also active there as well, since I play there as well), started a brand new game (without update, and without expansions installed), and did it at their house. I still didn't get this until after I intimidated 15 people (everyone from the above list up to Carroll, and 2 others along the way that were not on the list above). Not sure where the actual glitch is, but maybe this can help someone somewhere along the line.

Hi stynn2,

Just to be sure, during your different playthroughs, did you intimidate the same NPCs? You'll find here a list of all the characters you can intimidate in the game.

Yes, that's the exact list I used as a guide actually. I intimidated everyone each time up to Carroll (making 13 total each playthrough). At that point, I would load up an earlier save, try it a second and third time, then do a new playthrough. I did it with 3 different characters (Dalish Elf, City Elf, and Noble Drawf). Nothin'

  Thanks for the update. There was recently a maintenance on the PSN, maybe the communication between the game and the servers where trophies are kept was problematic at the time. I would recommend you to try syncing your trophies.
  
  Here are some instructions from the Playstation Knowledge Center.
  
  Issue syncing Trophies
  
  Spoiler
  
  Sync your trophies by going to (Game) > (Trophy Collection).
  
  Wait 24 hours to make sure the PlayStation®Network server registers your Trophy Collection.
  
  If your trophies still are not syncing correctly, you can go in to Safe Mode and select "Rebuild Database".
  
  Cannot sync trophies or register trophy data
  
  Spoiler
  
  Delete the User account that is associated with your Sony Entertainment Network account.
  
  * This does not mean you are deleteing your Sony Entertainment Network account.
  
  On the XMB, go to (Users) and highlight the User that is associated with your Sony Entertainment Network account.
  
  Press the triangle button and select "Delete" and the User will be deleted.
  
  Now under (User), select (Create New User) and create a new User.
  
  Sign in to your Sony Entertainment Network account under this User and sync your trophies

    Thank you again for your speedy reply.
    The problem is getting that one simple trophy to actually unlock in the first place, since I am sure I have met the requirements on several occasions. I have also done so with and without the update patch, and with and without the DLC (I have the Ultimate Edition), In terms of the syncing, I am a neurotic trophy syncer (at least once a day, and pretty much every time I earn a new trophy), so a syncing problem doesn't seem to be it in this case. Also, when I contacted the PSN support contact for trophies, they directed me here .

    Any time I tried to get to any EA official tech support channel type thing, it redirected me here to these forums. Maybe they changed something recently, or maybe I missed a page? Not sure.
