PS3 / 360 Users: Did the patch help you out?

I know a lot of PS3/360 users were having issues with freezing at the loading screen (three cards show up followed by a black screen, icon in the corner, and a lovely hard reset of the console). Has that problem disappeared for anyone? Mine still freezes but just the game, the system no longer locks up mercifully. 

So, questions are: is anyone else still having this issue? And what does everyone think about the odds of a new game being locked in freezing limbo are?
