So I'm having a problem with my gameplay lagging, everything was going just fine until I got to the Forbidden Oasis, mainly Elizabeth's Gardens when all of a sudden my game just starts to slow down to turtle speed. I've only been playing for a few hours and don't understand why this is happening. My PS3 is on the older side, but I haven't had any issues like this in the past. There's plenty of free space on my console, so I'm at a complete loss as to why this is happening. Any and all help is appreciated. I'm just playing the main storyline, not playing multiplayer. 🙂

I had the same problem too.the same spot.but u dont have to create a new character.u just have to.fast travel back to haven then your good to go.just avoid that place again.but hopefully ea would address this issue on the next patch

I'm noticing it most in huge battles, like the castle fight in Into the Abyss. Anyone know if installing the entire game onto the console helps in PS3(not sure of that's even an option, but it helped with something like this issue in Skyrim on 360).

I have the same problem with my ps3. The game was fine till I entered forbidden oasis. The frame rate halts to a crawl. I can move but its like watching stop motion animation. Really bad stop motion animation. I'm very disappointed. You never see nintendo games suffer from bugs like this.

Same here, I had the same problem too...But it's also bad in Hinterland, I was not even anywhere else and I played for 24 hours so far.
I am so disappointed that lagging, otherwise I like this game so far.

Thanks for all the replies everyone, I eventually got too frustrated with the slow speed and just started a new game. Now the plan is to just avoid that place until I have no other choice but to go there. That won't be happening any time soon. I also have had a few issues with slight lagging in the hinderlands as well, but nowhere near as bad. Happy gaming everyone!! 😄

Same issue. Warping to Haven worked for me, but now I'm avoiding that place like the plague.

I just ran into the same issue as well. For me, the area was running smoothly until I entered the torchlit underground cave area (where there's the warrior-smash-able walls). Now it's unplayably laggy and nothing seems to alter that.
Interestingly enough menus, dialog boxes (such as the 'requisition' system), etc., continue to run fine in that area. It just takes a second or more to render each frame when the main game screen is active. Disappointing as I was super excited to explore Solasan! ☹️

I had the same problem, but i found a way around it although it is kinda tedious. I went to camp site in Elizabeth's Garden, went back to Haven and fast traveled back the the camp site and no more lag.
