I had them close the client, restart their console, and run a check for new updates just in case any option would help out. They still remain locked in the crafting screen for crafting her armor.
I had both players do a hard shut down and leave it for awhile, tried today, and they can finally craft. They did download the Descent DLC, but I don't know if that affected anything.
