When I resumed playing, it crashed in half an hour. After that it all went downhill. Crashing every 30 seconds, tops.
I followed the Sony instructions, to no success. Not even initializing did the trick. After that, I had reinstalled the game about 4 times, so I decided to try playing offline like some people said. Didn't help either.
As a last resort, I tried installing and blocking the patch. I have 7 hours in this patchless state, but it's still frustrating, since I can't play multiplayer or import my carefully tailored Keep save. I really hope EA fixes this soon.
Apparently, this problem is only hitting new players. So far I haven't seen any long time players reporting this issue. Weird.
I can also confirm that the game plays fine without the installation of the deluxe content.
Game crashes if you install the armored mount addon.
For Rest 3 addons, those will let the game play, but it will corrupt your gameplay if you try to equip them ingame.
So you can play without the deluxe, though your saves will not be compatible when the fix arrives afterwards and you have the deluxe version. So you can enjoy the standard version of the game, but you cannot continue the ingame progress when they fix it.

This is most disappointing. I wonder if i would have to redownload the game if I would ask for a refund and buy a Standard release instead. After all atm I have no deluxe content installed. Unfortunately it takes ages to download on my terrible connection, so most likly I won't try it. It just doesn't feel ok to pay them for a broken content ☹️

I downloaded DA:I deluxe digital and was never able to get the game to run. Considered doing the workarounds but was concerned that my progress would be corrupted and ultimately wasted. That and the fact that I should never be expected to do a workaround to begin with... Ridiculous.
Recieved a refund (finds stuck in my wallet) but still very sore about a miserable (read: non existant) gaming experience. Both EA and PSN are at fault. EA released a terribly flawed product and Sony let it be released. In fairness Customer Support from both was ok.
I was promised a disc based copy of the game in the mail - I'll believe it when I see it.
