You probably just looted the cave, but did not find the hidden item (when you get near, pressing "V" should point you into direction. When on top of it, it will become visible).
Very helpful, thank you! I had previously discovered the cave and looted it, then found the map after. I went back and nothing... Didn't even think to use V to find the item and complete the quest until I read your tip. Again, thank you!
