After the boss fight against A. im stuck in the conversation, my hud is still visible and i cannot see or select any kind of answer, the game never continues.
I replayed it 4 times now, every time the same bug occurs and i cannot continue the game.
Over 2 Hours of Trying – I got nowhere.

- Auto-Save Loaded From Outside A's Door

- Exited Game Entirely
- Repair Game
- Re-Open Game From Origin (Not Desktop Shortcut)
- Loaded Full Save
- Clicked Disengage as Soon as A Died
- Picked Dialogue Options All In Lower Right Hand Corner
- Watched All Cut Scenes

have tried all these and the fact I paid 70 for the delux digital version and most likely will have to abandon half the first major choice due to a huge bug that should of been fixed a long time ago...honestly it is things like this that will cause people such as myself to just stop bothering to buy big name games
OMG - I got it! I am not sure if this is what did it but after a night of gameless-ness i got back on.
I switched all my settings back with the exception of one...
**** **** OPTIONS > INTERFACE > HUD VISIBILITY > (Switched now to) **CONTEXTUAL**
Did the fight and no wierd glitch thing!!
Truly amazing. Please try this - I would love to know this was a fix for more than just me...
Well, I've tried every single suggestion in this thread and not a single one has worked.
A bug as serious as this shouldn't get past QA before the game is shipping, nevermind almost two weeks after it's release. Astounding incompetence.
Don't know if this was said before, I may have looked at this thread myself for answers, but I had this bug and got past it this weekend by:
putting the game in windowed mode (8 attempts and only the 2 in windowed mode worked)
hitting escape to bring up the Skip Cutscene as soon as I could after the boss died and do this for all the cutscenes in between, just choosing whatever responses when that came up
Maybe it will help if it is something you hadn't tried. Being in windowed mode seemed to make the difference, because I did the skipping thing in the usual fullscreen as a trial once and it didn't work then, but the time before and after this worked for me.
I have played through the battle a dozens times and keep getting frozen no matter how far back I start my saves!
I haven't been playing with a gamepad at all - I don't even have one so fixing mouse/keyboard settings isn't an option.
I've done clean saves and repairs every time I re-try and nothing is changing.
Is there any solution short of going out and BUYING a GAMEPAD on the slim chance that it changes something?!!
