Re: BioWare And EA lied and mislead mislead me !

Well I play on PC (ultra and high settings). And I can agree with you, that some of the problems connected with Patch 2 are quire irritating. However, after this patch, I can play the game, reasonably well and acceptable. I mean it is OK for me.Simple, reliable, no big fuss ...

On the other hand , the point about qunari armor, at least for me, is not an esthetic one. It is much more deeper. The point is that, after looking at the E3 demos and bagilion of DAI advertisments, I was expecting variety of weapons, armors, customisation options et cetera, et cetera. You know, elements that are important, for me, to enjoy, huge and long role play game like DAI. And you get these thigs, sort of... You get them for some of the characters. For the others, like elves, and especially qunari (these are half of your playable races) you are literally forced to use 1-2 different types of items for the entire time when you play.

For example, I just finished my second playthrough of Dragon Age Inquisition with Qunari  - 150 hours. Probably the best looking qunari armor (and the only one that actually looked different),  that I found for 150 hours was the Masterwork Battlemage Armor?! And during these 150 hours I used, no more than 2 different types of armor, 2-3 types of weapon and so on... Everything else? Same old pajamas...

According to my understanding, this is not what was promised by the two companies.

I mean, I feel mislead... and the fact that there is no official information of this particular problem or if there will be a fix for it at all, makes me even more disappointed by BW and EA.

  • Like I said, I totally agree with what you're saying about the armor and weapons. My Elf Archer wore only two armors throughout my first playthrough and it's going to be the same in this playthrough. As for weapons, I was stuck with the same one for several levels at a time while Cole got a dagger with every other kill I made :I

Sorry if I sounded a bit rude, but as someone who can barely play the game now, hearing this problem that so many other people are dealing with get labeled as insignificant compared to there not being enough armor choices for Qunari irked me. It's likely not going to be fixed in a patch. What you're discribing isn't really a bug like the droprate of armors being very low. It's that there are literally very few choices of armor and that requires more to do than fixing a bug. They'd have to go into the game, create more stuff and then program it in. If anything, they'd just add more armor and weapons in with a DLC...which we would have to pay for.

But if there is a bug that is keeping from armors loading correctly, then that can definitely be fixed and needs to.

No, no, you are not rude at all, it's ok.

    1. Personally I think it's some sort of bug. I saw the above armor sets (or at least  something similar to them). When I was crafting armor sets, I saw some models, looking similar to those in the pictures above (but only when I was crafting them). However, at the moment when I finished and equipped them on my character, I got the same old pajamas and sh#t.

    2. Furthermore, the problem is most perfectly illustrated when you first get to Haven as a Qunari; go to the merchant and purchase the Inquistion Foot Soldier Armor, Inquisition Scout Armor or Inquistion Battlemage Armor.

In the preview stage, it won't show any change on your Qunari character, yet it will show changes on whatever companions you have that are the same class.

When you purchase the class-specific armor and equip it, it will show your Qunari in their 'pyjama' style clothing rather than actual armor like it should. It's obviously a bug. It's worth noting the same armor doesn't show on Iron Bull either; when it's equipped on him it goes to his default undergarmets look.

The only 'looks' I've seen so far are either the standard Defender Coat/Mercenary Coat (which are almost the same), or Defender Armour styles, and the DLC armour ( if you have it).

I strongly believe, that they can fix this issue, with relative ease, why they do not want to do this is another matter altogether. Do they want more money, by releasing DLCs, or something else, I do not know.

    3. They can also remove the race restrictions, so we can at least use all of the existing items...
