Re: Crashing to desk top

This is what he meant by specs...    http://answers.ea.com/t5/Dragon-Age-Inquisition/How-to-post-the-relevant-info-when-you-create-a-question/m-p/4356255#U4356255

but you may want to ck out the driver from :   http://answers.ea.com/t5/Dragon-Age-Inquisition/Newly-released-NVIDIA-GEForce-Game-Ready-Driver-MAY-solve-a-ton/m-p/4366895#U4366895

Also, Nvidea cards seem to respond well to making sure you have Performance chosen in the Power profiles of your computer.  And some people have reported good luck with increasing the virtual memory from 1x ram to 3x your available ram.

Has the new game update made any difference in the game??

What graphics level are you running the game on??

How often is the game crashing??

Have you tried lowering AA, post processing and maybe shadows down to see if they make any difference??

Does doing a clean install of drivers make a difference??  Have you tried the ones recommended in the thread I linked too?

I personally don't see any red flags in the DXdiag file..maybe someone with better computer skills than I can see something...

Tried a fresh install, and did the VC++ fix again. changed virtual memory to min 6089MB to max 9133MB. all settings to low?

    Very puzzling hmmm

i might upgrade ram as that is what is lacking in the min specs and see how that goes??

Is this the DX crash? If so, try the following.

    Nvidia Control Panel

    Power mode, Max Perfromance

    Vsync Addaptive

    Single Display performance mode.

    In Game

    VSync Off

    Post Processing Quality LOW

See if that helps with the crashing. It has worked for many.

  • Not sure if it is a Dx crash as no error message pops up after going to desktop. Also it seems to be when there is alot to load such as a new area or where lots of ppl are in game?

Cheers for the help!!! Really appreciate it!
