Re: DA2 & DA:I: Cursor Changes from Game Cursor to Regular Cursor
@Dourdelf wrote:A couple of months ago I downloaded Origin then Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition. I am experiencing a cursor glitch in both games. There is a strip roughly one inch by five inches in the middle of the right side of the screen that if I pass my cursor through it changes from the in-game cursor to the regular cursor. As a result I cannot select anything inside that strip. At first I didn't think it would be a problem because I could just rotate the camera view to select what I want. However, in Dragon Age 2 when I accepted the quest Act of Mercy the map location for this quest is squarely inside this strip and I cannot select it. Since all quests have to be completed to move on to the Deep Roads expedition I'm stuck. I have done one play through and after checking and unchecking some boxes in the mouse controls was able to fix the problem for a couple hours, long enough to select the location on the map. However, I started a second play through a couple of days ago and that fix is not working. After some research I made sure mouse trails was turned off and I turned off Origin in game but neither of those fixes solved the problem. Switching mouses made no difference. I was able to circumvent this problem in Dragon Age: Inquisition by plugging a game controller into my computer but that's not an option in Dragon Age 2.
Does anyone have a fix for this? If I'm not able to solve this issue I won't be able to proceed past Act 1 of the game. Thank you!
It's been a while since your post, but I managed to solve the problem by turning the resolution to windowed fullscreen. Hope it helps you too.
