Re: DA:I not recognizing proper graphics memory.

Alienware being no better, qualitywise, than any other Dell PC, you can get far better bang for the buck with one or another of several large scale eBusiness system builders, and be way ahead financially by making space somewhere for a base PC to play your games on.  It doesn't have be excessively large to play games on, although it cannot work well if the case is too slender.  Keep it about eight years, spending about $200 each second year in upgrades, and keep the same small,.thin portable machine you have no need to play games on.

Compared to totally replacing a laptop 3 or four times in eight years, you'll be way ahead!

  • I plan on doing that with the Alpha. I recognize that there isn't anything inherintly superior to the Alienware pc, but the console-esue design/compactness of the Alpha appeals to me. I figure it should be able to play pretty much every game that will be released on the PC during the life of the XBOne and PS4, and that is really what I want.  As long as I can play Inquisition, Witcher 3 and eventually ME4, I'm good.
