Rename your save folder to something else. 

The game should then create a new one, with all the needed standard files.  Once you have the game running and functional again, then you can copy all your saves and only the saves over to the new folder and continue gaming. 

I say rename because that way you keep all your old files as a backup instead of possibly losing them.
