Re: Dragon Age Origins - Savegames randomly loading

Any suggestions anyone?

I can't play until this is resolved :-(

I read somewhere that someone had some success removing save game files if the cumulative amount of files is greater than 114? Not sure what this will accomplish. Is there any way to edit a save game or attempt to repair it from within? Any options are better than nothing.

@Malachor01 Hi, this is very strange indeed, i'll be very interested in the solution.

If you want to check if the issue is due to an excessive number of saves, you can just moved/delete them as you would any other file.

If you go to My Documents> Bioware > Dragon Age> Characters, you can choose a character, then go further down into the Saves category to move/delete individual saves.

Be sure to make backups first, then you can try deleting them at will.

Ok,

So I just played for an hour with no issues having deleted 12 of the 14 savegames that I had (4 auto, 1 quick, the rest manual).

I have no idea if the issue will return if the number of save games increases, but the fact I managed to play for an hour with 0 issues suggests so. What a strange issue!

I've had a game load a save unexpectedly (I do not remember which game it was) and found that I had accidentally hit the button mapped to quick load.
