Re: dragon age origins launching problems

The versions of the game shouldn't be dramatically different so I suspect you'd run into the same issue again. 

That said this sounds like a resolution issue so it should be easy enough to fix. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Dragon Age\bin_ship and launch DAOriginsConfig.exe Under the video tab make sure that your resolution matches your desktop, then try to launch again. 

You can slso check the Display tab to ensure that your system is using your main card. It's probably fine, but it can't hurt to check while you have the config utility open.
