Re: How old is Merrill?

I don't think they ever specified, but there is some speculation online. Merrill looked like a young adult in the Dalish origin story of Dragon Age Origins. I'd say about 18. Then there's a one year skip to chapter one of Dragon Age 2, so about 19.

Nothing official, though. Those are just my guesses. The elves looked different in Origins, and so did Merrill. Plus, none of the characters really look like they age in the seven year span of DA2, so we don't know how different a 19 and 26 year old look in this world. Who knows, maybe she's in her thirties at the end of the game.
