That seems to be how they set it up, start online and then go offline and still be able to run your games. So if you are asking to have zero internet connection to the computer and be able to run the game, then no I don't think it was possible. You can start the computer with internet, start EA app, then go offline and disconnect the internet connection.

Sorry @mcsupersport but that is just not true. It still works like it did on Origin, meaning after you register the game online, and check the "keep me signed in" checkbox in EA app, you can play Single player games games including DLCs without any internet connection for a considerable amount of time.
I just tested that with DAi, restarting my PC wile offline, and the game still works flawless.
There might be a problem between EA app and Steam, tagging @EA_Shepard to ask about that.

Once the game and all content are updated and verified, this is true. You can launch the game and play without being online. You only need to go online with this game for updates or download the content and EA app updates. Past that, You don't need to be online all the time. Once updated, you're good to go.

LOL, learn something new everyday. I swear I thought I tried it not long after the App came out and it wouldn't let me...but that was some revisions ago and maybe it was a glitch on my part anyway. Good to know, and thanks for the info. Yes, I am stubborn and just checked it, and it does work on my machine, I also found out the Motherboard I am running has wifi....
Yeah, the early branches of EA app had some.... problems... 😉 (as we all know. 😇)

After several reinstalls from Steam and EA App (the internet access went down for a few days at some point, which was the original concern) and the apps themselves, the EA App GOTY version seems to be launching from EA App directly.
Community Manager@Hawke_404 There are some current issues with Steam and the EA app at the moment that are being looked into and that may be part of the issue you are having. As of now, is the game through Steam still not working?
