Re: i can not launch dragon age inquisition on pc

@shaunMfieldsend First thing to ask is whether you've added exceptions for the game, Origin and the game folder within your Users folder to your anti virus program. If that doesn't help...

Which program is the test saying is incompatible, Origin or the game itself? Screenshots of error messages are often helpful. 😉

Are you running Origin and the game as administrator? In compatibility mode for a particular version of Windows?

Have you tried turning off cloud sync? The Origin overlay? Repairing the game in Origin?

Also, a brief overview of your system hardware is not all that useful, a dxdiag is far more helpful. There are instructions on how to generate and post one in the spoilered section of this sticky.

May I suggest that you look around here on the website for directions on setting up the several "exception" entries in Avast, so it can be allowed to run and provide protection, instead of being shut down?   There have been reports that AVG could interfere, even while directed to remain inactive, if the correct exceptions weren't created.  Avast now owns AVG, and has copied some of the AVG limitations over into its own products.
