@dstrawberrygirl It is something the team is aware of and working on getting updated. The invite is affecting more than one game or was at one point and not just DAI. Once they push an update you may see the game update but it may happen on the backend.
Once we have an update after that is pushed out to players we will post an update for everyone.

I just also placed a request into this chat regarding not being able to play mutiplayer on DAI. I see from this reply it was 3 weeks ago. Has any resolution or fix been found to alleviate this problem. I have also paid extra money for "premium" credits and now they are worthless if mutiplayer doesn't work. If there is no fix, may I be refunded the cost of my "premium" purchase?

@DeviousDaz They are going to update MP for DAI and ME3. No invites should not stop players from playing it in general. There is not an ETA when this will be pushed out that I can see.
As for any refunds, if it was through the EA app, it would go through live support. If this was on console, or through another platform, I.E. Steam, Epic, etc, you would need to reach out to their support as we cannot refund those purchases.

Hi I’m trying to play multiplayer with my friend but every time we invite each other we get this error message. How to solve this?

@Furblis That is a generic error which could honestly be a list of reasons. There isn't going to be a one-step fix for it. As of this afternoon, is the error still happening?
Does the same or different error happen when you join a party before joining a match?

Yes, it’s still happening. And it happens after I join a match. I also tried entering my friend’s game from the PS home but then this error happened. We both have every DLC too. Plus we both play on the PS5.

@Furblis I followed up on this one. Should be resolved but I do see some folks still are having issues. I let the team know. With invites like this, it may be affecting more areas than one game. Which it was originally, so I messaged them and let them know.
I know there have been some workarounds on this one but they have not worked for all players from the threads I have read!

Will do! I’ve informed my friend and we’ll do that as she gets online!
The game worked before when we played on pc, using the at the time origin launcher. Now its a separate EA launcher? We can get into random games but the game gets stuck whatever it does when we try to join each other, and have to manually force close the game to do anything else. Cant even test anything in the future as the one person I can play with will not touch the launcher or game again until its fixed... Well rip for me

Hi @EA_Shepard! Sadly we’re getting the same errors. But we’re also in different regions except both our games and PS accounts are NA. Could that be why? Back then we were able to play together on the PS3 and PS4… Is the game region locked now? I’m in Kuwait and she’s in the USA.
We also used quick match and then she entered another person’s game but not mine.

@Furblis Region can be a factor yes. Especially when it comes to how the network(s) are set up. Region issues become more of a console issue rather than a game issue. There isn't anything in the game that would allow a cross-region option to wor around that. Unless you tried a VPN, that would be the real only way to test it out.

That’s a shame. Are there any plans to make the game region free like before? But will try VPN soon.

@Furblis Not that i have seen no because region in most accounts is based on the platform not so much the game. Region can be affected like having an NA console, you but an EU game, or languages that the game supports.
Past that cross progression would be the only other real aspect of that from the games side.

@Furblis Generally on PC no. Most "region lock" is console-based. Rarely is that ever a PC problem. If you are running into an issue on a PC, that would be a different issue. That can be a longer list of issues besides what region everyone is in. There not going to be simple steps that fix that because there isn't really a way to tell what specifically is causing it. The friend invites issue in general was resolved and tested, so if there is an issue on the PC that is not working, it's a different cause than the original issue.
At that point, you have to start going down the list.
Who's using VPN
Are you friends on that platform?
Is your profile or their profile public or private?
IS someone being blocked?
Have you deleted and re-added that person back?
There are honestly too many reasons to list but that is the basics of it. It's going to be about finding that one reason why it is being blocked.

Hi @EA_Shepard! I've tried the game with another friend of mine who is from another country. At first it didn't work and I got the same error message from before. But thanks to Nord VPN, I set it to his country and then we were paired up in the game!

@Furblis They did some backend updates to the game very early this morning. This should help with a bunch of different issues with the MP portion of the game.

@EA_Shepard I just joined her match and the screen was all black sadly. And for her, I was standing still. I'm also using a VPN...
Then I used it with and without the VPN but it kept happening... Is there no fix for this??? But what's interesting is that the game works fine when they leave...
This happens everytime someone invites me, or I invite them. The intro of the dungeon has no narrator when they're in the game, but when they're not in the game, the narrator speaks.
When I invite someone, the narrator is speaking from my end, but not theirs, and then other player's game will freeze but not mine

@EA_Shepard Another issue is that when I use VPN and invite the person to my match, they receive nothing. But they can however invite me whether I have the VPN on or not. I also noticed that the invite only works when the VPN is set to the other person's country.
Also, regarding my previous post. This is what happens when the game begins and no narration in the intro. The characters stand without their weapons drawn. However, this occurs when the person is invited, and does not happen to the host. Also the screen blackens. However, you can still hear the sounds and noises from the game, despite being frozen.
Also, even by using VPN, and find each other with Quick Match, one of us gets disconnected when we enter the same room.
But to be precise, this has happened to us on PC.
