Since EA does not update us super regularly with new information I decided to contact one of the representatives and the responce she gave me, in her words was "Hi ***** sorry for the late reply. The studio is working to fix the issue, so it's just a matter of time ok? Thanks for understanding!" So hopefully this gives some hope to every one that they are actively working to fix the servers and it should just be a matter of time.
@patdj182Whatever helps you sleep at night. I know one thing: Regardless of who’s part of the problem/solution, this issue should have been fixed a while ago; and the fact that it hasn’t tells me that EA has little concern for its customers. People have been having this issue since July, but only now are we being told that external help is necessary. Why? Why weren’t we told that two months ago? When EA discovered the source of the problem, they would’ve known then that they would have to liaise with Sony and Microsoft, yet we are only being told now that this is the case? It sounds more like an appeasement rather than a “legit claim.”
Agreed. This should have been resolved months ago. I bought a PS3 last night and the Ultimate addition of Origins specifically to relive one of my favorite games. Went to play and had the same could not sign into the server, try again error everyone has had. Found this forum and was amazed and dejected that I can’t access the DLC I paid for. Downloading from the store is a dumb idea as the cost of Awakenings and the DLC are more than I paid all together for the Ultimate Edition. If I had known, I would saved the $160 bucks last night.
So we wait...
- @patdj182 The specialists at EA are, I assume, not stupid. It didn’t take them two months to determine liaison with Sony and Microsoft would be necessary, although if it did, my assumption would be wrong. Any technical specialist worth his salt would have immediately known that whatever the issue is would require outside help. If EA did not realize that until two months later, then they have specialists that are utterly incompetent.
It’s great that every so often an EA person pops on here and says it’s being worked on and there’s still no eta. At least they know people are still complaining. But, I am not confident that this is a priority for EA and certainly NOT a priority for Sony or Microsoft.
Does anyone else find it interesting that this issue with the servers and Keep arise while they are developing and working on Dragon Age 4? And that fixing what should be a simple issue (server connectivity) is taking so long?

I was wondering that myself the other day. Maybe they were working on something with the servers for 4 and broke something. . . or are even changing something on the servers for importing/saving. . . and broke something. lol
@Tigerboi1979 SOMETHING broke. It just seems weird that the servers were fine FOR YEARS and now, all of a sudden, there’re down for two months and there hasn’t been a hurry to fix them?

Here’s some weirdness...since I am one of the lucky few whose DLC works, I’m trying to do my 10 world states. I can now connect with DA2 and Inquisition, but not Origins. Anybody else having some games work and some not?
Yeah, the servers for Deafon Age 2 and Inquisition are working fine. It’s just Origins. Which is weird.
I was able to install the DLC manually off my Ultimate Edition disc, and when I click on “Downloadable Content,” though it tells me I have to connect to the Dragon Age server to use that function, it does show all the DLC as “downloaded.” I started a new game, so we’ll see if the SLC content shows up or not. Keeping my fingers crossed that, at least, I can play the game, even if my character can’t be saved to the Dragon Age server for now.

Here in the UK, i'm so relieved to know its not just me. All my other games work on the server, it is only Dragon Age Origins. It started a couple of months ago but I've only been recently replaying it more and it hasn't even registered my new character in the Keep. Does anyone know if there's a fix at all yet? I cannot believe this has gone on so long. And it's so bizarre.
Contacting EA directly has always been a huge problem in the past; they never solved my issue when I downloaded the Inquisition soundtrack with extras for the game but my 'Download link' for the soundtrack was non-existent. They said it was on my end then as well and didn't even think to send new links or something for it. So I payed for literally a few schematics and a new horse and throne.
I want them to fix it now, I hate having to jump through hoops to deal with them when I know it's not me!

They’re still working on it. They finally fixed the soundtrack isssue a few months ago.

Yeah, my DA2 and Inquisition have always worked. Only Origins is the problem. My DLC that's included in the main game is working too. But I haven't tried and of the stand-alones yet like Awakening, Witch Hunt, etc. as I'm still replaying through the main game. Fingers crossed.

That's just the same kind of generic auto-response we've all been getting since July.
- Agreed.

@lvalenti30Good luck!
Update I just got from EA "Hey *****. Our team is currently working on moving the data to a newer server, but that may take some time. How long exactly you might ask, but we can't be for sure. -Logan"
I then asked if they knew even the longest possible ETA, to whoch they answered
"Even that is hard to speculate. The issue was raised in July and an update was given to us in August. It's currently nearing the end of September and we haven't heard an update since so that could either mean it's coming soon or it's proving difficult and may take even longer. -Logan" hopefully it provides some help and answers to people lol i recommend every one go to Twitter and message the EA help page while also commenting on here regularly to make them work faster on the problem if you want it solved faster.
- I’d have to think that if they’re moving data to a new server, it must mean that a fix has been developed. I hope I’m correct with that logic.
If they had not neglected Origins and ensured that it was up to modern standards, they would not have to move its data to newer servers! Now we all must suffer for EA’s remissness!
- At least it appears they are doing "something". That's a little encouraging. Yeah, the DA2 and DAI servers are working fine. The issue is just with Origins.

I've also been having this problem with Origins on Xbox 360. Just commenting to add another voice to the plight. Really hoping there will be a fix soon...

hope + ea = no hope.
Is it fixed yet? No? Just checking. Carry on.
I know, I keep checking to see if it changes from "Known issue" to "Solved issue." 😕
I don’t know if it’s been stated, but if you have the Ultimate Edition for PS3 disc, you can manually install the DLC off the disc and have it playable, just like the people with the digital DLC can. So, the complete game is playable (at least for me). The only thing missing is “uploading” your Hero of Ferelden to the Dragon Age Keep, which is disappointing. For the World State, you’ll have to select the story choices yourself. I’m not as angry about the Keep thing as I was for seemingly not being able to play the whole game I paid for.
Still messed up that it’s been not working since July and there’s no ETS for a fix.
Ever since I heard that EA is supposedly transferring the data to newer servers, I've been having this nagging feeling that they will eventually fix the problem but also remove the ability to upload Wardens to the Keep, a very important feature to me. I'm probably just being paranoid, but I truly hope EA will fix this issue (soon!) and still allow players to upload their Wardens to the Keep.
