Re: Medium-to-High Latency/Ping Issues and Rubber Banding

Latency and FPS are totally unrelated. This is a latency issue and nothing to do with the 60 FPS non-sense. DA:I multiplayer is P2P, meaning someone in your part is the host. You might remember this type of multiplayer from games 10+ years ago. There is absolutely nothing you can do except find a good host, preferably physically near you (same state / region).

  • I'm also experiencing those problems :/

Funny thing is, this is only happening for THIS game, even on ME3 MP i was able to play without many issues, but on DAI the rubberbanding really takes away from the experience.

I'd like to but i don't even have the will to log and play because i know i'll experience those gamebreaking(For me) issues

  • go to your start menu

and in the serch window type services.msc

in the new window, scroll down to where windows media player is,

    right click and select properties,

set to either manual or disabled

I have noticed many, many times that rubberbanding was due to window media player sharing servies running in the back ground...

I NEVER USE IT... so I disabled it, and it did help a little.

I would agree , but I'm playing with a friend of mine who lives less than sixty miles from me, is in the same state, and has extremely fast internet. But I'm still getting the exact same issues with him as host as I'm getting in a quick match with four random people from across the world. It doesn't matter what we do, multiplayer is laggy to the point of breaking. I very much enjoy MP, especially co-op MP, but not like this.

    Thanks, worked for me 🙂

  • Having the very same rubberbanding issue. If I start a multiplayer hosting myself I have no problem whatsoever but if I join any other I get it and the only way I can move around is jumping around like a frog as that seems to remove the lag somewhat.

Just got the game so hadnt even heard of the fps trick so no, I dont have it or ever had it so thats not the problem. I can play Battlefield 4, several MMO's like Star wars tor and Star trek online withpout any issues and I also play elite Dangerous with friends without any issue. The only game that keeps rubberbanding in multiplayer is this one.
