When I first posted this question, I did have a number of mods added in including one that made Aveline prettier.  Then last night, I opted to remove all the mods and restart game.  The only mod I have now is the one that helps you import your world state from Origins.

As to tech specs, I have a new Alienware desktop, so I should hope it could handle a relatively old game.  I'm currently running it on 1600 X 1200.  Do you think that's too high?

Note, when I notice this problem, I will save, quit, and restart game and the distortions will be gone and the affected characters will look normal.

Have you ever had similar problems with DA2?
