Heya everyone,
Thank you all for for posting your DxDiag reports. The studio had one internal repro where this issue had been caused by setting the DPI settings within Windows higher than the default one.
As a result, the window size of the screen will be improperly calculated and causes an infinite flickering between windowed and fullscreen.
Have any of you also increased the DPI settings? If so, what happens if you rever it back to 100%?
Within Windows 7, the specific setting can be found here: Control Panel -> Appear and Personalization -> Display -> Zoom
I am especially looking at you @FlakRat @Laipro @dilem54 as your DxDiag does indicate that you did have this turned on.
AJLeuer within this thread has also indicated an issue with the scaling here, as confirmed by Damark1981.
Thanks a lot for your replies in advance,
Nils

I have windows 8.1 and I think I found the settings, but they were all set at 0.
This really looks like a GPU rendering issue with DAI, but NVidia released a patch just the other day for their drivers so I'm not sure what's going on here.
Just to reiterate, I'm not having a constant flickering issue it's flickering about 4 times upon opening, and then settling on the window, only flickering again when I'm messing around with settings. It still flickers when it's opened and running as Windowed Fullscreen, but it's settling on the fullscreen window rather than the window at a strange resolution not reflecting DAI's own settings.

I allready tried this before, but i tried it again, switching DPI to 100% und switching all DPI Settings off, which i could find, and the game still runs in windowed mode after 4-5 switches between Fullscreen.

This isnt working for me, since i have OPTIMUS and Nividia Control Panel dont have Display settings, and Intel Control Panel also has no such option to change.

Agreed, no display scaling available with an optimus system.
Also, dpi is at 96 dpi/ 100%.
Thank you for the solution, unfortunately it didn't work

Go to DAI Display Settings:
From Main Menu->OPTIONS->DISPLAY->FULLSCREEN

Did you not read my last post? That's not the issue! The game starts in fullscreen mode automatically. This is an issue with Nvidia GTX00 rendering cards on laptops. It's not an issue of people being incapable of checking their settings. They cannot run in fullscreen.
@ Bucket
It was already not funny the first time you posted it.
@all: Thanks for your vital tipps and tweaks. I disabled almost any autorun program and closed all opened applications, which left me with almost nothing, but still I wasn't able to get the game to run in fullscreen.
