Oh, thanks!  Should really have noticed that.  Will my saves be on the cloud still or should I back them up?

Last night I tried the "reverting-to-pre-patch" part, except I didn't clear $MFT free space because it is advised not to do it on SSD drives, so instead I deleted Origin and game folders in C:\Users and C:\ProgramData (every folder I could find), and redownloaded the game.

Now I try the game and it's again the latest version instead of the original. Is it because I didn't clear the $MFT free space?

did you uncheck the boxes in the general tab of origin settings

    under auto update?

    and the file locations are

    c:\users\<your acount's user name>\appdata\local  (i.e.   c:\users\ fred\appdata\local)

    c:\users\<your account's user name\appdata\roaming

    c:\programdata

remember only delete the origin folder in these locations

if you can't find the appdata folder, then you need to go into your folder options,

and make sure to put a check mark next to "show hidden files and folders"

I did everything described for rolling back to a pre patched copy of the game but I still have the patched version when I redownload.  At least I assume I do as it doesn't say an update is available.

try refreshing your game page in origin. and see if the icon(s) show up.

check the game for updates, and see if the icon(s) show up.
