Just purchased ultimate edition on new computer, clean install, no mods and I am getting the download fail on embri's many pockets not included in ultimate. When I try to load an old save pulled from old computer, it tells me I can't load because I dont have embri's installed.
This is extremely frustrating and reading these threads in which people are pointed repeatedly to a solution that clearly does not work is even more so. This looks like it has been going on more than a week and this is still what people are being told. This appears somewhat ridiculous.
I followed each step, many of which I feel I've already done before, and no change. I reinstalled all my dlc manually after following the steps, and Felix still does not trigger to start the Stone Prisoner quest.
Considering the Offer for the Stone Prisoner used to be available for manual download previously, until for what ever reason all those links went dead, I don't see why you can't just upload the Offer portion of the DLC, or better yet a stand alone installer like I have for Witch Hunt and Warden's Keep. Bioware Social obviously works, unlike the in game downloader, so I see no reason why for convenience sake, I can't just get my DLC through there. I've been trying to remain patient, as there has been a holiday and weekend, but this has stretched close to 2 weeks now, and is getting ridiculous.

I have same problem.
I have bought the game from Origin and didn`t have any issues with DLC when I was playing DAO in 2009.But few days ago I reinstalled the game with 1.05 patch. All DLC are showing as Install Failed. I have tried to install DLC without 1.05 patch but it didn`t help.
Then I tried to install DLC manually and started new game. DLC are showing as Installed but Location for Stone Prisoner`s start quest Sulcher Pass isn`t appearing in game. For my new character I was finding augment crystals for Shale in the game.
Also I have tried to load old saves. All content was working and Shale was there with my old character in game.
To help fix that in the manual installs I had to do as well, I downloaded the offer files I was missing from this site: http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Downloadable_content_%28Origins%29 and then used the updater found in the game's install folder, bin_ship folder, daupdater, point that at the dazip files that you downloaded and it works. It still tries to install the dlc though the in game downloader at startup though, all still listed as download failed, but in game it works fine so far.
