Re: Three bugged quests

Ditto for the Cole quest. Also XBox 360. This is my third playthrough, and the quest worked fine the first two playthroughs.

Playing on PC. I had a similar problem: I went through the "Sutherland and Company" quest line on the war table / tavern, and got to the point where you can talk to Rat in the tavern and the war table operation "Sutherland and Company Missing" unlocks. I completed that operation and I think I received the coordinates on the map in Storm Coast, but I also unlocked Iron Bull's "Demands of the Qun" operation and apparently did that first, taking Iron Bull along to the Storm Coast, which begins his quest there. I was preparing to go back later to finish "Sutherland and Company Missing," but couldn't see it in my active quest log or on the map. I read on a BioWare forum thread that completing Iron Bull's quest first makes the Sutherland quest unavailable. In fact, that's what it says in my completed quests log: "This quest is no longer available."

I understand, from a story standpoint, that Sutherland and his crew are in dire need of assistance, and I've seen the video of this quest on Youtube where the Inquisitor comes to their aid, so it makes since, story-wise, that it would be a "limited time" type of quest... but there are so many other quests in the game that one could consider to be "limited time," and yet you can complete them whenever you want, as long as there aren't any major story events that happen first. I didn't realize that this quest would just suddenly become "no longer available," especially since I was going to return to the Storm Coast right after Iron Bull's quest. Actually, what I wanted to do was do his quest and just stay in the Storm Coast and go to where the Sutherland quest was supposed to have been, but you're teleported backed to Skyhold after finishing personal quests. Still, would have been nice to know it would suddenly fail the other quest...

I agree with Pwnstix. It especially bugs me that, if you have triggered both quests, the game locks you into Iron Bull's non-time sensitive quest immediately upon entering the region and will not let you leave the quest area until it is complete and you've been transported back to Skyhold, thus forcing a failure in the Sutherland quest.

This seems to be a major oversight and I can't fix it without going back nearly 80 hours of gameplay to a save where only one quest was triggered. :-[ Very disappointing.

Found a suggestion on another forum: omitting Iron Bull from your party will prevent his personal quest from autoloading when you enter the Storm Coast.

This would never have occurred to me since I always have Iron Bull in my party. But I went in with Cassandra, Blackwall, and Sera, and it worked; I was able to complete the Sutherland quest before swapping Iron Bull back in and triggering his.
