Red Lyrium Reapers bonus weapons

So I completed the game while logged on to origins my account name was displayed in the lower left hand corner I can click on it an get my account info which clearly shows under purcheses that i own ...

The website article on the browser "game" was updated to include this bit of information:
The weapons pack can be obtained in the game by following these steps:
1.      Acquire Skyhold.
2.      You will find a quest in your Journal called “Rune Crafting” (under the Skyhold Category), and will be instructed to visit the war table to recruit the arcanist.
3.      Visit the war table and select the “Acquire the Arcanist” operation from the top-left side of the Ferelden map.
4.      Complete the operation and exit the war room.
5.      Visit the Undercroft, where the arcanist will be present
6.      With the arcanist acquired, the Red Lyrium weapons will be available in the special deliveries chest, also located in the Undercroft.
After not showing up initially, I've been checking the chest every so often the last couple hours. The items finally showed up. My suggestion is to follow the steps above.

Jango had it correct.. I just got to Skyhold, and completed the steps listed, recruiting the Arcanist, talking to her and then the Red Lyrium weapons showed up in the Special Deliveries chest in the Undercroft.. unfortunately by this time I have already outleveled them and they are useless as I hae already crafted better weapons.

I thought that I outlieveled them too, but I tried them anyway and damage bonus against living creatures seems to make them a good choice despite the seemingly low level. You might want to try them and judge the results for yourself.

Yeah I think the game is very unbalanced in a lot of ways. During my first playthough, I pretty much outlevelled the game which become easy mode. Second playthrough again I have outlevelled the game and havent even got to skyhold and am currently level 14. I personally think that they need to add in some sort of que of area levels. If i was to rush the game then no doubt it would be a challenge but for completionists like myself, the game quickly becomes easy mode and Im simply not playing on Nightmare as thats unfun!
