RUINED BLADE quest bug from DRAGON AGE INQUISION BASE GAME.

This is a bug for the quest "Ruined Blade" in the Dragon Age Inquisition base game.

I have picked up all of the sword pieces from the other three altars. I attempted to fight the last creature the first time and died. I came back and attempted again but realized that I would not win so I ran out of the place with my rogue stealthed. I picked up some potions and changed my party members in a different area. I come back to try to beat the creature but I can not pick up the piece of the weapon from my final altar to summon the creature and there is no creature to kill to get the last piece. There are no loot bags for me to get either. I also do not have a reliable save spot to help me out. Need to spawn the creature or have the piece available to pick up to trigger him. I wouldn't even mind having to redo the whole area.

I've added a screenshot.

NOTE: I am NOT using a hacked or stolen version of the game. I can provide proof if needed

Since this seems to be one of the best base game 2h weapons, I would very much appreciate a fix for this. Plus it looks pretty sweet 🙂 Seems like a simple fix... I intend to beat all of the quests in the game before I'm done playing this character.  I have searched around the web and see that a few other people have had this issue too. Not just in the ea forums.

Here is another post where people have also had this problem but it doesn't seem like enough people had this issue to give it any attention?

PLEASE FIX IT.

  • This is why you should always keep multiple save files, including one at the start of dungeons. 😉
Does it really count as a bug if you left the dungeon after summoning the creature and came back? I've never done anything like that before, so I don't know... I know loot disappears if you leave an area, is it surprising if specially triggered enemies do, too?
There are far better 2H weapons in the game, including those you can craft. 🙂 (Think you can get the schematic for this weapon from the Black Emporium). As far as I'm aware, Bioware has no plans to create more content for the game, including patches, so other than reloading an earlier save, there's not much that can be done. Unless someone else has had this problem and found a way around it.
