Ruins of Heidrun Thaig Crash

I am in the ruins of heidrun thaig and I am at the door that requires the scorched gears to open. I pull the lever and the game cuts to a cut seen where there are three darkspawn running and then it turns black and I can't see anything. The game is running however as I can hear my party members attacking; however I cannot restore the visual field. The game is running vanilla with only your DLC loaded into the game. What is going on?
