Exact same thing! I started to think that I was going crazy. When I try to load any of my saved games, my ps3 freezes at the exact point you described (black screen with the green icon in the bottom right after the screen with the cards that you can flip through). This makes the game pretty much unplayable, unless I could somehow marathon it to it's completion in one sitting. Anyways, I have tried to set up some customer service with bioware a few times today, maybe one of them will get back to me and help.
This is really maddening. Everything was working fine when I quit the game yesterday evening. But today, nothing! My game does exactly the same thing as others on this forum have mentioned. When I try to load a game that I saved in the Hinterlands, I get the scene with the three cards and the glowing icon in the lower right corner. Then the game goes to a black screen, the music stops, and the icon freezes. My saved game is completely unplayable! I did download and install the "deluxe edition DLC" after quitting the game yesterday, but this doesn't seem to be the source of the problem. (I deleted the DLC and restarted the game, but it didn't solve the problem.) I'd consider starting a new game, but I'm afraid it would just be wasted after investing more hours, since there's no guarantee that saved games will load properly. BioWare: people paid good money for this game and want to play it, so FIX THIS!!!!
