Solved the post-menu startup crash??
Essentially right after you select "continue" it goes to a black loading screen and the small icon freezes..can hear music for a few seconds but then that freezes. Have to alt-tab out. Before this...

Before this I was having issues with even opening game, it was using AMD Mantle rather than direct x 11. I found the solution on a thread.
1. Go to your Documents then it will be: \BioWare\Dragon Age Inquisition\Save
2. open profileoptions_profile in a text editor (i used notepad)
3. find GstRender.MantleEnabled 1 ------ CHANGE THE 1 TO 0 (it will run DX now)
After this the game would open but it would still crash due to the save point I had last saved at maybe having some glitch...not really sure but I read that instead of hitting "continue" just load the 2nd to last save, another save point. Finally the game loaded past that black screen, nothing froze, and then the actual game started up.
I guess this is specifically if you have already played the game and gotten to a point where it crashes when you try to load the most recent save. Hopefully this helps.
