Sound Glitch like"ringing"

I heard the annoy "ringing" sound when I close map or pause or switch to another UI every time.

I load earlier save found same issue,I guess that sound should be "Inquisition perk+1" sound effect.

But I didn't hear same sound when I load another playthrough or create new character,

Did anyone have same issue?

  • I assume it's the same sound that was added to the multiplayer sections, I haven't played single player recently, and if so - it was added in the latest patch. I find it quite annoying and I don't know why it was added, it sounds really out of place - to such a degree that I first thought they had assigned the wrong sound by mistake.

what level is the character at when you hear this sound?

If your character is at or above level 20 (level cap), you will hear it every time you gain experience, open/close map, switch party member, etc. etc. etc.

    My character is at 21

So is it no way to be fix? ☹️

I know exactly what you're talking about, and I don't understand what caused this issue to begin with, but it's obviously affecting a large number of people with no workaround. It happened on PS4 for my wife with a save over 80hrs, and any save before it, as well as her two other characters are unaffected. Later saves with the affected character have that awful sound.

What you say is not true for everyone as my wife has another character that's reached LVL 24 and has never experienced this audio glitch.

  • Okay, so, two years have passed since this got posted but I just want you to know that I started to experience this today. At first I thought it was related to the mission "Hakkon Winterbreath" since for me, it started to occur after completing that mission. But it turned out this is not the case. It seems like the glitch occurs when you reach a specific level of influence or something.
I could also find that it has something to do with buying too many of those documents that increase your influence. Which seems like is also possible because of a bug...super nice! 😕
So....what can I do? Shall I go back like 30-40 hours making sure that my influence level "won't get full" or shall I just live with this freakishly annoying bug...I don't have much left until the end anyways...but it's still very annoying...

A question, maybe it's stupid but I need to ask because I want to start more characters. Will this affect the saves of other careers/characters. I presume it won't but I'm asking it anyways, just to be sure of it 🙂

    Thanks!

Yeah, they still haven't fixed it, and I don't think they ever will. We even tweeted Mark Darrah about this, and he did follow up with us over several tweets but the issue wasn't resolved. I don't think EA gives a damn since it would cost their cheap @$$es money to fix, so I wouldn't blame Bioware.

Dude, not a stupid question at all, and check out this video I made in regards to the bug:

    https://youtu.be/nBoM8WkCP3o

It's safe to say this particular bug occurs on ALL platforms according to posts online at various forums. The trigger to replicate it is when ANY character/class reaches Level 20 INFLUENCE (regardless of hours played, or REGULAR character Level) you will experience what you hear throughout this video forevermore. New saves PAST Level 20 INFLUENCE will ALL have this bug as it has not been patched and for obvious reasons is unavoidable. If you work for Bioware, please for the love of God, fix this.

It’s 2024 and the max influence bug is still there.  Think there is a mod for pc players to fix it unfortunately for us console players it’s never going to be fixed lol.  Best case is don’t but crap from the influence peddler lol
