Sound Issues

So I just downloaded Dragon Age: Inquisition, Game of the Year edition. I downloaded through Origin, and when I open the game, not only is it maddeningly slow, but the sound echoes and skips. At firs...

The dxdiag reveals that your PC doesn't meet the system requirements.

You have:

CPU: Intel Pentium 2117U @ 1.80Ghz

GPU: Intel HD Graphics

The game requires at least a quad-core processor whereas you have a dual core processor. The game also requires a graphics card by AMD or Nvidia. Your Intel HD Graphics are not designed for gaming PCs.

These are the system requirements:

OS: Windows 7 or 8.1 64-bit

CPU: AMD quad core CPU @ 2.5 GHz; Intel quad core CPU @ 2.0 GHz

System RAM: 4 GB

Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 4870; NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

Graphics Memory: 512 MB

Hard Drive: 26 GB

DirectX: 10

Getting a game ready PC may be a bit confusing if you're new to it. If you ever need advice on a PC that can run the game, feel free to ask. For now it's probably best if you check EA's refund policy.

To find out what's causing the slow performance, you will have to share your hardware specs. Read the following post and follow the instructions, especially part 2, which explains how to share a dxdiag file.

Audio skips can be tied to the slow performance.

When you talk about echoes, do you mean specifically with regards to spoken dialog?

And with the sound, I used the incorrect term. It skips and repeats the sound, and it's absolutely anything. It happens with the music, sound effects, dialogue, everything. It's so bad I wasn't even able to get past creating a character.
