Sound Problems on PS3

After today's patch every time i go to the black emporium the sound turns off permanently, it requires me to leave the emporium, save else where and restart the game at least twice for it to come back....it's really annoying and to some extent game breaking since now conversations don't even pop up.....please fix it, old gen customers  are still customers.

AlanaFeral, in the PS3 menu go to Game then up to Game Data Utility. I there you should find an item that reads Dragon Inquisition DLC & Updates. Hit the triangle button for options and one of the options you get is delete. The downside is that you'll have to re-download and install any other DLC and all the updates, which I'd say is as big a pain in the neck as simply avoiding the Black Emporium until you've got enough gold to visit it once per playthrough. And of course if you ever do get a PS4 you may end up having to reinstall Black Emporium anyway because that's the only place to export PS3 saves to PS4. On balance I think it's better to leave it there and avoid using it in general play but YMMV. And of course there's always the faint hope they might actually fix it.

Same thing here. The only sound inside BE is the background, and after you exit everything is muted, a total silence

  • So I just brought Inquisition for my ps3 and found out about this bug.  I though this must have been a new bug that came out when they fixed the infinite ability points bug, but now I have found out that this bug is almost a year old and they took the time to fix a bug that did not prevent game play over this one ...........   Companies not supporting the content is a reason why a stop buy games from them such as Bethsoft after what they did to us with Skyrim on the ps3.  This bug isn't nearly as that, but I do feel like I have been ripped off with this Black Emporium dc because I did pay for it and am unable to use.

Plz I implore you BioWare / EA to do right by your loyal customers whom have supported throughout  the Dragon Age series.

@ELz_0000 You did not pay for the Black Emporium DLC, it is free. 😉

Also, before purchasing games for older consoles, a little research beforehand wouldn't hurt, Bioware stopped supporting this game on the previous gen consoles long ago so they could focus on creating patches and new content for platforms which were better suited for the game. Most of the DLC isn't available on previous gen platforms, either. There are no more patches or content intended for any platform.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy the game despite this bug. 😉

  • How can a company say it's done working on a game while it has areas when visited break the game?  I like to be able to buy a game and trust the company to not leave it until its finished not leaving it because the market has shifted leaving there fans stuck on an island with out a paddle.
