stuck in a mission with no potions.. only option is to quit and start over?

seriously, what was the point to only have 8 potions.. die, reload, die, reload, die, reload..

im trying to save the templars or something, im at the main boss, a desire demon, ran out of my 8 health potions like an hour ago, and now it looks like the last 2 freaking hours of my time is lost due to having to return to camp and get more potions..

or hide in a corner and let the npcs take care of the boss.. that didnt work.

i cant even leave.. the only option i have is to reload a save that is from an hour ago..

LAME!

even putting it on easy didnt help.. i still get killed with what little life you repsawn with.

edit: i see this as a bug.. there was a supply cache in the main hall, right before you enter the main boss, but it saved the game AFTER i resupplied my potions.. so that meant when i died, it respawed 0/8 and the cache was already used.

i had to go back to a point where i didnt get that far, about an hour was wasted..

make the potions respawn back to 8 when you die..

    lol what a good answer..

just accept that you have to start missions over because when you get to the end you used all 8 potions you can hold?

Well ignore the idiot but if you cant do it on easy then your gonna struggle later on . Keep your rogue or mage out of battle then when your team die run out far enough for them to res then repeat .

  • As someone posted awhile back, the tactics system for party ai has been overly dumbed down since they now have a (don't remember the actual name) but it's the top down tactics mode, which personally I dislike.

Which is probably why npcs keep dying thus low potions/none, they expect you to use that mode quite often

  • This is why you save often, especially if you're not good at the game. This goes for every game that allows it, not just Dragon Age: Inquisition.

The tactics system was likely dumbed down due to the 8 ability limit (which is probably the worst change in the series). Since you can swap abilities all the time, you'd have to constantly change your tactics as well, so the old system wouldn't work.

That's why noobs need thje perk that gives 12 pots before doing that one, or just level up until you can handle it. Seems fin at lev 15 no pots, but then that hinterlands dragon went down at lev 9. Time consuming but not hard if you know how to do it and have the right team with you. (and arent' auto leveling the companions because it won't spec enough points in the trees you need by lev 9. Oh and use the tactical cam or pause and command each one or that beast will kill you all.)
