So after the character creation it should go to some kind of cell. However, I'm stuck in the world the cutscene takes place. I have already tried new game once but it still happened (had to create character all over again).

I fixed the issue by disabling the 60 FPS cinematic unlock fix. So for people who use the 60 FPS cinematic unlocker and can't get past the opening cutscene world, disable it again and you should be able to play.

Same thing happen to me I quit the game restart a new game then it ok (quit mean I exit origin restart origin start dai and click new game )

Have this problem. Not due to fps (I had to go look up what you meant by disabling the 60fps fix). Uninstalled and reinstalled and still stuck in world. Did not apply any "fixes" to the game.

The 60fps fix is ok to leave on. SImply remove your saves and profiles from your my documents Inquisition folder and then start a new game. Works like a charm.

I deleted the folder in my documents but still stuck in world after character creation. It worked once with one default character, then failed to work with all subsequent custom or default characters (I delete the folder each time I do so).

I have the problem, It has repeated twice now when I create a Noble Rouge. Stuck by myself, 2nd time with some character.
I have not had the stomach to start a third. Pain in the rear.
I end up what looks like the beginning of the stairs, and really cannot go anywhere due to the mountains.

I tried the game yeasterday evening and I had the same exact problem.
Right after character creation I find myself in this weird world with green puddles, one small stair and one big stair. I can't even climb past halfway on the big stair. No one else but me and nothing to do. What's up?!

I've got this problem too.
I've tried repairing my game and that did not work. I'm trying reinstalling the game now to see if that will work.

I have the exact same problem. I bought the game yesterday and I tried everything, I created 4 or 5 characters so far but it's always the same. I get stuck in 'Frostback Mountains' and I can't leave that place. I didn't do the fix with the 60fps so that's not the problem. I also tried the fix game option in origin but nothing happened as well. I tried windowed mode, compatibility mode in windows 8 (which is my OS) and windows 7, I delete the save file everytime before new game and I also tried to run the game through Origin and not the desktop shortcut but still nothing. I reinstalled the game as well but I'm not sure anything will change again ☹️
Edit: Indeed, I tried skipping the first cutscene right after character creation and it worked perfectly!! :D :D
