11 years agoTerrible FPS
In both cutscenes and gameplay my game has awful fps. It doesn't matter if the graphics are on high or low it's just terrible. It's making me really mad because I just got this computer in August and...
Unfortunately I am experiencing an FPS issue that renders the game unplayable.
There are occassions during exploration where everything runs smoothly (specifically when I first load the game), then gradually gameplay slows, at times reaching a complete halt, somewhat recovering, then stutter once again, the cycle seemingly getting worse with time.
Additionally, if any cutscenes trigger during these stuttering moments the lag becomes unbearable, though the audio does remain in sync with the lag and the game has not crashed thus far.
After attempts to change graphics settings from Low to Ultra the results remained the same with only very minor performance differences, however the lag/stutter/halt would return on a regular basis at all graphic quality levels.
My Specs:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
GPU: GeForce GTX 670
Memory: 16.00 GB RAM
Resolution: 1920x1080 60 Hz
NVIDIA Driver Version: 344.75
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
I ran four consecutive benchmark tests on the "Medium" setting, each one worse than the one preceding it:
Benchmark Test 1:
FPS
Avg 53
Min 38
Test 2:
Avg: 43.4
Min:17.8
Test 3:
Avg: 37
Min: 14.1
Test 4:
Avg: 32.9
Min 10.1
I would be happy to provide more detailed and specific information if you need. Please help!
I have a GTX 780ti stock clock, i7 4770k stock clock, 16gb ram, Windows 7 home
Everything max except AA and post AA 1920x1080
Game runs anywhere from 30-60fps for me. Average around 45-58fps. My GPU usage jumps back and forth between 40-80%. I am not encountering any texture flickers but I am getting character and object popin in cut scenes and game play. I hope we see a patch soon. This makes me hesitant to preorder any games in the future. EA is the publisher it's their duty to deliver a quality product. I am a huge fan of dragon age believe me I am but a stable game is something that should be a minimum when delivering a game. Just my opinion.
