11 years agoTerrible FPS
In both cutscenes and gameplay my game has awful fps. It doesn't matter if the graphics are on high or low it's just terrible. It's making me really mad because I just got this computer in August and...
Okay I tried the 'Repair' game option and I can now get past the game without screen crashes. But once again the FPS is around 20.
It was 10 FPS in Haven and 20 FPS afterwards. So no, it's not only because I was in Haven despite what some people say.
No update on the Bioware team since the last one.

My framerates are shocking as well.
Using automatic settings I was getting 50-60 frames in the prologue, but as soon as I got to the Temple of Sacred Ashes my framerate plummeted to 30. When I got to Haven, it stayed the same, but fluctuated between 25-40. I also have stuttering in general gameplay. I have tried shifting graphical settings to low and ultra and the framerate remains the same. I have tried using the cutscene framerate fix and nothing changes in game. I have run the shortcut in admin and with windows 7 compatibility and nothing changes. I have tried V-Sync on and off, nothing changes. I'm using the new AMD 14.11.2 beta drivers and nothing has changed.
Basically the conclusion is, nothing we can do as players matters or changes anything. Now I can respect that playing on Ultra needs SLI or some humongous new powerhouse GPU but seriously, my PC should be able to run on High (which is pretty much what the automatic settings are). The fact that whatever I do has no effect on the graphical outcomes smells dodgy to me.
Just thought I'd lend my voice to keep this thread alive, because as it stands right now, trying to play at 25-30 frames is no good for me. I am losing enthusiasm and immersion in what should be a gripping RPG adventure.
