11 years agoTerrible FPS
In both cutscenes and gameplay my game has awful fps. It doesn't matter if the graphics are on high or low it's just terrible. It's making me really mad because I just got this computer in August and...
Ive had the game almost a week now and my issue is extremely choppy game play. to run @ 50 FPS i have to axe setting's so low it makes the game look like a mud painting. that's not acceptable my system meets recommended specs and should be able to at least keep a solid 30fps on high/w hbao. for whatever reason it can't even do that. Ive played the game for a few hours and have a FPS graph that looks like a Stroke patients heart monitor readouts even flat lining at 1 fps in some spots but mostly its 34~28 down to 18~13 then 6~8. whats odd is the graph isn't random, its a predictable pattern.
Coming from BF4, another frostbite engine my FPS is usually 44-56FPS on high/ultra setting. i know there are more tree shadows, particle effects and apostates per square inch, but that much of a performance hit.....i dunno. this appears to be something i cant fix no matter the amount of tweaking i do.

On an unrelated note Surround Sound was this amazing thing invented in the early 70's, yet for whatever reason Bioware struggles to actualy make it work. whats that you say Varric? important plot information? By the Maker thats Grand, to bad i cant hear you over the sound of a water fall thats a mile away.
